We live in a conflict-averse world. This seems to be most especially true for the middle part of the United States. It isn't that conflict does not occur or people don't feel conflicted, but there is a desire for conflict avoidance. This causes some less-than-ideal consequences as we find more and more people become passive-aggressive and less tolerant of those who hold differing views. The Church has not been spared from this. In the LCMC (Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ) a focus has been made to help congregations deal with conflict healthfully. So, here we will explore some tools to help us be better in dealing with our conflict.
